Enterprises should use the SmartNodeTM 4970A VoIP Gateway to IP-enable legacy PBX systems at a low cost. The SmartNode 4970A Series, which evolved from Patton's award-winning SmartNode 4970 Series, now includes Trinity applications with a comprehensive range of features. The SN4970A, like every other SmartNodeTM, supports every industry-standard CODEC for toll-quality speech on every call. Any-to-any multi-path switching (simultaneous SIP, ISDN, and POTS calls with routing and transfer between TDM/PSTN and IP/Ethernet networks—plus T.38 and SuperG3 FAX) is provided by the Unified Communications AgentTM (UCA). Protected voice and data via IPsec with AES/DES strong encryption and automatic keying via Internet Key Exchange are provided by VoIP-over-VPN with voice encryption (IKE). Furthermore, enhanced call-router functionality provides least-cost call routing as well as dialed-number schedule flexibility. With the SN4970A VoIP Gateway, you will keep your existing phone system when moving forward with centralized communications.
