In outdoor or environmentally exposed settings where heating and cooling cannot be monitored and controlled, the ruggedized SN4140E Industrial VoIP Gateway series is ideal for providing Voice-over-IP telephony for outdoor phones, industrial VoIP, and tactical communications systems. Patton's rugged VoIP gateway facilitates IP-based voice delivery for applications such as industrial automation, military communications, railways, public transportation, public and private outdoor phones—including emergency phones in parking lots, along roadways and railways, and within underground tunnels—by providing flexible combinations of up to eight analog (POTS) FXS and FXO interfaces. The SN4140E gateway connects and converts traditional analog phones, analog PBX facilities, and PSTN lines to modern IP-based Voice networks using Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). All-IP means that all voice terminals should be converted to VoIP. In applications where environmental factors are important the Patton SN4140E Gateway is the one to choose to get the job done.
