In outdoor or environmentally exposed areas where heating and cooling cannot be managed, the ruggedized SN4140E Industrial VoIP Gateway series is suitable for providing Voice-over-IP telephony for outdoor phones, industrial VoIP, and tactical communications systems. The device can be mounted on a vehicle and is ideal for military use. Patton's rugged VoIP portal supports IP-based voice transmission for applications such as factory automation, military communications, highways, public transit, public and private outdoor phones— including emergency phones in parking lots, along roadways and railways, and inside underground tunnels—by providing modular combinations of up to eight analog (POTS) FXS and FXO interfaces.
