VoIP Supply Participated in UB REALM Program to Mentor Students

VoIP Supply is more than just an e-tailer. As the first B corporation in WNY, VoIP Supply is not just dedicated to providing the best quality of VoIP products and services to our customers but also committed to being a responsible business to our customers, employees, local community, and environments around us.

Last week, we participated in the UB Real Experience and Leadership Mentoring (REALM) Program to introduce UB students into our daily working environment.

About UB REALM Program

The REALM program is designed to help UB students bridge the gap between their education/ and the real business environment. It is a full-day program that lets students shadow a professional in Buffalo-Niagara region or New York City metro area held each semester.

Meet with the Professional at VoIP Supply

We are happy to host two UB students (Brandon Echeverria and Shu Ya Li) visiting VoIP Supply. Our Marketing Supervisor, Mary Cheney, gave the students a tour of VoIP Supply’s office and warehouse and introduced them to the whole marketing team to learn a variety of Marketing professional roles and discuss the marketing tools, professional skills, challenges, and joys involved in the team’s daily work.

The students learned how each role plays in the marketing department and how they cooperate with one another to deliver maximum value to the organization. They also had an insightful discussion with our team regarding preparing for interviews for a marketing position.

Check out the video below to see what Brandon has to say about his visit!

We are thrilled to have the chance to meet young professionals and guide them to a real hands-on business world. Thank you to University at Buffalo for giving us this unique opportunity to network with UB students!

“I think programs like this are so important for students in any field. It provides them with real-life experiences and gives them the opportunity to network with business professionals in their community,” said Mary Cheney, Marketing Supervisor at VoIP Supply. “Participating in programs like this is how I got my career kicked off and I’m so happy my team and I could pass along what we have learned to these students.”
