How To Set Up An Analog Phone with VoIP

Q: I am looking for a gateway that I can use to connect a physical analogy phone service to and then connect a VoIP phone to use that analog line. Is there a way to do this without having a PBX?

A: To connect your analog phone service, you’ll need a PBX and FXO port to do what you are asking for. Unfortunately, an IP phone will not talk to your analog service without having a PBX in place to tell the phone what to do.
