Out of all the conference phones VoIP Supply carries, Snomâs C520 is one of my favorites. One reason being that the C520 comes with 2 detachable, wireless DECT mics, allowing presenters to roam in the room and make your meeting very interactive!Â
Secondly, for a larger room setting, you can even further extend the range of the C520 with up to three wireless DECT Snom C52 Speaker phones! Now you just need one C520 conference phone for all your needs.Â
Is it complicated to connect the C520 to a wireless speaker phone though? You asked. Not at all! Check out how simple and quick it can be done within seconds:Â
How to Register a Speakerphone to The C520 SIP Conference Phone
Registering a C52 speaker phone to the C520 conference phone is quite simple! Just follow the steps below:
Put the battery pack in the C52, connect the power adapter and plug it into the wall outlet. The LEDs on the C52 will flash orange slowly.
Press white registration button underneath the battery compartment for about 5 seconds until its LEDs are flashing red and green alternatingly.
On the C520 SIP conference phone, press the setting icon:
In the Main Menu, press (or highlight 3 User Settings and press the check mark ✔)
In the User Settings menu, press(or highlight 6 Wireless speaker and press the check mark ✔)
Press 1 to register the C52 speaker phone. The screen will display Registering⌠and then Registration succeeded. The LEDs will then turn green briefly and turn off while red Power LED turns on.
Now repeat the process for an additional C52 speaker phone. To cancel registration, simply press X.
Note that if a speaker phone is already registered to the phone, you must first deregister all speaker phones before you can register a new one. Also, if a DECT headset is already registered, you can only register up to two C52 Speaker phones.

In todayâs Sangoma reseller webinar, Mark and Tom covered all you need to know about SIPStation and FAXStation! Out of all the cool features and functionalities you can enjoy, I would like to highlight the fail-safe fax over IP service as faxing has always been a pain for many businesses. Sangomaâs e-faxing services are very simple yet powerful! Some of the highlights include:
Q: Do your SIP trunks support voice and video environment?
A: Sangoma doesnât have video type solutions. Any video is peer to peer passthrough, we donât do video conferencing but there are 3rd party devices you can get and run through PBXact, FreePBX and our SIP Trunks. Contact the VoIP Supply team for video conferencing solutions.
Q: Any plans to do TLS encryption on sip trunks?
A: Yes, this is in the works and should be released in the near future. We are a little behind due to our acquisition with Digium. There will be an additional cost for these with the encryption but we arenât sure what the pricing will be yet.
Q: Is SIPStation as secure as a T1 lines to outside attacks?
A: Typically, when your system is hacked, the problem doesnât come from SIPStation. It usually is because of the weak passwords or other factors in between. SIPStation has a special key that will give you some protection and if you are worried, consider adding a session border controller or firewall for an extra layer of protection.Â
Q: Is there any wholesale version of FAXStation like a Vitelity? This way faxes for multiple customers can be managed and maintained from one screen with no need for a Freepbx.
A: You donât need a PBX for faxing services. For resellers, you will need to set up an account and add the locations. So the answer is YES, I suggest you sign up for the program today!
Q: Do you feel that 911 services and faxing have made it tougher for many companies to fully adopt or transition to a full on VoIP system?Â
A: Not at all, we require e911 on all trunks, and offer Fax Over IP solutions within our SIPStation product line (both over SIP, and over HTTPS)
