September 10, 2021 by Ying-Hui Chen

Sometimes you may need to handle urgent calls and Cisco’s 8800 phones make identifying these important calls easy for you! The multilevel precedence and preemption (MLPP) system allows you to easily set these emergency calls as higher priority than normal calls so you can respond to them faster.

Once set up, when a high-priority call rings on your phone, you will see the priority level on the screen and the call will appear at the top of the call list. Check out the MLPP icons and the corresponding level:

How to Troubleshoot Jabra’s PanaCast When the Video Image Doesn’t Show

Nothing is more frustrating when your web camera is not working properly! When that happens, here are a few things you can try:

  1. Have you selected the Jabra PanaCast as the default video device in your video conferencing application?
  2. If you are using a Windows OS computer, is your camera being detected under Imaging Devices or Camera in the Device Manager?
  3. Can the problem be a bad cable?
    • You should use the included 1m/3ft cable or the optional Jabra 1.8m/5.9ft cable.
    • You can try another original Jabra PanaCast cable with a working camera to rule out the cable issue.
  4. Are you using a USB extender cable or USB hub solution?
    • Click here to check if your cable is from Jabra’s approved list of extender cable and USB hub solutions.
  5. Does your PanaCast camera have the latest firmware?
    • You can use Jabra Direct to check for updates and install the latest firmware.
    • Using the latest firmware will avoid issues.

Before you leave, be sure to check out Jabra’s newest members of the PanaCast family: the PanaCast 20 and Pancast 50! These secure and portable web cameras are designed to advance video collaboration by offering video that surpasses the standards.
