Paging is a convenient way to make quick announcements to specific groups or an individual. Wouldnât it be great if you can just turn your existing phone into an intercom when you need it? Is it possible? Letâs find out!
Question: Weâre looking for a phone with intercom features that allows us to make an announcement in the facility to a group of people. Do Snom phones have intercom/paging capabilities?
Once configured, simply press the intercom function key, the phone will call the configured extension. After you hang up the receiver, the intercom call will be closed just like other normal calls.
Incoming intercom calls will be auto-answered without any ringtone and you can end the call anytime by hanging up or pressing âCancelâ.
Note that some restrictions may apply in certain SIP server environments.

Fanvilâs XU Series IP phones are known for its user-friendly features. One of the convenient features is âRinging Muteâ which allows you to display an incoming call interface with no sounds when thereâs a call coming . Letâs check out how this can be activated easily:
To mute the incoming calls:
Press the mute button when the phone is in standby mode.
You will see the bell mute icon at the top right corner of the phone.
Now when thereâs an incoming call the phone will display an incoming call interface but will not ring.
To cancel the ring tone mute:
On the standby or incoming call screen, press the mute button again.
