How to Set Up Callback Feature on Fanvil’s XU Series IP Phones

Did you know that you can easily call back a phone number you recently called on Fanvil’s XU Series IP Phone? This feature is very convenient for busy professionals like you! Let’s find out how this works:

First of all, you need to have a call history to get this feature to work. If you don’t have any history, the phone will only say “can’t process”. Generally, you have two options to set the call back feature:

  1. Set the callback key through the phone interface: 
    1. Press Menu> Basic Settings>Keyboard Settings> Function Key or Keyboard settings> soft function key 
    2. From there, choose to set up the function keys
    3. Now select the call back function in the “Key” field and press OK.
  2. Set the callback key through the web interface:
    1. Log in the phone page, enter Function Key> Side Key or Function Key> Function Key page
    2. Select the function key, set the type as the function Key and set the subtype as the callback function.

How to Troubleshoot Unsuccessful Jabra Talk Pairing

Did you fail pairing your Jabra Talk headset with your mobile device? Remember, Jabra Talk Bluetooth headset allows users to pair 2 devices at the same time so it won’t work trying to pair with more than 2 devices.

 

Here are a few things you can try before contacting support: 

  1. Restart your mobile device 
  2. Restart your Jabra device 
  3. Check your Jabra device and make sure it is in pairing mode
  4. On your mobile device, turn Bluetooth off and on.
  5. Try to pair your Jabra device using a different mobile device. This is to confirm that a different mobile device will find and pair with your Jabra device.
  6. Check the firmware version on your Jabra device. Is it updated with the latest firmware?
  7. Reset your Jabra device.

If you have tried all the steps mentioned above and still can’t pair your Jabra Talk with your mobile device, contact support to get more information.

Microsoft Variants (MS) VS.Unified Communication (UC) Variants

The MS version Jabra headsets are certified for use with Microsoft Teams, giving Teams users a smoother calling experience. They also support a plug-and-play experience with more advanced features such as:

  • Microsoft Teams LED notifications that are visible on the controller.
  • Answer/end button on the controller to support interaction between the device and Microsoft Teams on a computer.

Q: Can I use the UC variant Jabra headset with Microsoft Teams?

A: Yes, you can. You will be able to set up audio and call control features manually by selecting the UC variant as the default device in your Microsoft Teams settings. However, the plug-and-play experience will not be available if you use a UC variant with Microsoft Teams. So we suggest that you use the MS version for use with Microsoft Teams.

How to Factory Reset the Fanvil i6 Series Door Phones

Need a fresh start on your i-Series door phone? It’s easy! 

Before you start, you have to understand that restoring the factory settings will delete all configurations, database and configuration files on the device. After the reset, your device will be restored to factory default state. There’s no going back!

Alright, let’s get started:

  • Go to [System] >> [Configuration] >> [Reset Phone] 
  • On the Reset Phone page, simply click the [Reset] button
  • Now your device will return to the factory default state
