Our tech support team at VoIP Supply offers great pre- and post-sales support plus provisioning, consultations, configuration, and installation help. We get a lot of VoIP hardware and software questions and would like to share the solutions with everyone.

In the previous Mom’s calling Q&A series, we have discussed: Polycom VVX410: Outbound Calls Suffer From a High Degree of Post Dial Delay. Today, we have more new real questions and answers from VoIP users just like you.

How to Increase the Speaking Volume on Jabra UC Voice 550 MS?

Jabra UC Voice 550 MS Mono Q: I have a Jabra corded headset, Jabra UC Voice 550 MS and people I am speaking with cannot hear me unless the mouthpiece is literally pressed against my lips. Neither my company’s telecom folks nor I can figure out how to increase the volume on the headset so listeners can hear me. Our phones are Avaya 1140E IP Deskphones. Can you help me?

A: There should be a headset menu within the phone. Make sure the correct headset is selected within that menu. I have linked the User Manual for the phone. See page 93 for headset options.

See User Manual HERE.
