Uber-Popular in Europe, Siemens Gigaset Product Division is finally bringing several of their slick Wireless DECT hybrid PSTN-VoIP phones across the pond to the US marketplace.
The Gigaset S675 IP is comprised of a stand-alone DECT base station with integrated RJ45 ethernet port as well as an RJ11 FXO port for a PSTN landline. Plug the base station into your home of office LAN, and you can then register up to SIX individual VoIP provider accounts. The majority of users have a single account, but with multiple SIP registrations you can add additional provider accounts, or even register your S675IP as a remote extension off your Asterisk IP PBX.
If you want to maintain a landline, you can integrate it easily with the Gigaset S675IP by simply plugging it into the FXO port on the base station. The system allows you to seamlessly toggle between PSTN and VoIP calling. The Gigaset S675IP will accomodate up to SIX total DECT wireless handsets, and allows you to handle up to 3 concurrent PSTN and VoIP calls.
The Gigaset S675 IP supports a ton of other features, take a look a the product page on VoIPSupply.com for the skinny on everything this product can do.
The Gigaset A580 IP features a smaller display and fewer features than the S675 IP.
Amazingly, for products that retail for only $99.95 and $139.95, respectively….both of these products offer full support for G.722 “High Definition Audio”. Siemens calls their flavor of HD “HDSP”, short for High Definition Sound Performance.
It will be interesting to see how the HD VoIP saga plays out and if any VoIP service providers step forward to support G.722 HD VoIP Audio on their networks.

does the S675IP / A580IP use the same base station? do you have both of these in stock? If you order either of these with the base station then you can add up to 5 additional handsets only to the one base station? They work with Asterisk as well? MW light? Thanks.
@ Steven
I don't believe they use the same basestation for the handset. They DECT gateways seem to be the same though. VoIP Supply has both of these units in stock and yes they support up to five additional handsets. Being SIP based and open should ensure that they work with Asterisk.
Can you supply these with a European (Spain) Power Supply? I need to provision the phone in the US and send it to Spain where it will be used?
Garrett,
Are you sure the base stations aren't the same?
@ Steven
I'll check them and let you know.
I second Philip's question. Is the power supply that comes with these phones 110V or universal 110-220V, and if the former, can it be supplied with a 220V?
Thanks.
@ AVI
These come with a 110v power supply. For 220V you'd have to purchase a separate adapter (it is available). Please let me know if you need further details and I'll email them to you.
Could you please let me know where the 220v adapter for Siemens Gigaset A580IP phone is available from ?
