First Look: RCA IP110 and IP120

For those of us who live strictly in the VoIP phone world RCA may not be a familiar name when it comes to product lines. Take a step back from the VoIP corner of the world and you see they are the largest manufacturer in the multi-line and DECT analog phone market. Within their family of analog phones they have a selection of innovative phones from multi line desktop phones to phones that are paired with a DECT handset and headset.

The two newest releases, RCA IP110 and RCA IP120, take a step out of the analog world and firmly into the VoIP phone world.

What Is It?

The IP110 and IP120 are the first VoIP phones from RCA. The two phones share a similar form factor and several of the same features. Both phones have a built in full duplex speaker phone, support for a variety of voice codecs including G.722 for HD voice, dual LAN/WAN RJ45 ports and a RJ9 headset jack with support for electronic hook switch (EHS). Neither model supports PoE but do ship with an AC power supply included.

The two models do have their difference; the RCA IP110 is a two line phone with a 2×15 characters display while the RCA IP120 is a three line phone with a 123×64 display.

Complete technical specifications for each RCA VoIP phone model are available on their datasheets:

One of the factors that make RCA phones an attractive option is their support and warranty. All RCA customer service and support calls are handled by their call center based in Ohio which is open 27/7 and additional they have a 2 Year Warranty on all of their phones.

Both the IP110 and IP120 are Broadsoft, Metaswitch and Asterisk/Digium certified so they will work with most IP PBXs.
