Algo 8188 SIP Ceiling Speaker (White)

The Algo 8188 SIP Ceiling Speaker is a SIP-compliant IP speaker designed for voice paging, emergency notifications, and background music. It is fully certified for native compatibility with Microsoft Teams through the Microsoft Teams SIP Gateway. Common use cases for the Algo 8188 include schools, hospitals, retail stores, and office environments.

Powered over Ethernet (PoE), the Algo 8188 requires no external amplifier. It is UL2043 certified for installation in air-handling spaces and features a hydrophilic membrane screen, making it suitable for areas with moisture, such as showers.

The 8188 registers as a third-party SIP endpoint with most hosted/cloud or premise-based VoIP telephone systems, and additional SIP licenses are not required for multi-speaker deployments. A single registered speaker can be configured to multicast audio to other Algo speakers, strobes, and paging adapters, providing an efficient solution that minimizes network traffic. For paging in multiple zones, the speaker supports zoned paging via SIP extension or selectable keypress zones.
