Algo 8186 Wideband IP Voice Paging Speaker

The 8186 is a weatherproof, SIP-compliant IP horn/loudspeaker designed for voice paging, loud ringing, and emergency, safety, or security alerts. It operates via PoE, eliminating the need for an additional amplifier, and is fully certified for native integration with Microsoft Teams through the Microsoft Teams SIP Gateway.

Common applications for the 8186 include warehouses, factories (OSHA-compliant), production floors (such as food and beverage processing), utility plants, machine shops, garages, outdoor yards and parking lots, school playgrounds and gymnasiums, farms, bus or train terminals, and more.

With wideband G.722 codec (HD voice) support, the 8186 delivers superior speech clarity and intelligibility, especially in noisy environments. This capability enhances STI-PA scores, crucial for compliance with NFPA 72 and NEMA SB-40 2010 standards for emergency communication in educational settings.

The 8186 registers as a third-party SIP endpoint with all leading on-premise or hosted UC providers. For large-scale deployments, additional speakers do not require individual SIP licenses. A single registered speaker can multicast to multiple Algo speakers, strobes, or paging adapters, ensuring scalable, cost-efficient solutions while minimizing network traffic. Multicast paging also supports zoned paging, configurable as a SIP extension or selectable via keypress.
