Algo 8180 SIP Audio Alerter (G2)

The Algo 8180 is a SIP Audio Alerter designed for IP paging systems and is certified for native compatibility with Microsoft Teams via the Microsoft Teams SIP Gateway. It features a high-efficiency integrated amplifier and a premium loudspeaker, making it up to eight times louder than a typical telephone speaker. This makes it ideal for noisy environments such as warehouses, workshops, restaurants, and machine shops.

The Algo 8180 (G2) represents the next generation of the original model, boasting upgraded hardware that supports the latest security encryption standards, including TLS and SRTP, for secure communication with hosted SIP providers.

In addition to retaining all the original features of the Algo 8180, the G2 version introduces several new enhancements. These include improved multicast options, a relay input for button activation, and dedicated "Emergency Alert" extensions, similar to other Algo SIP endpoints like the Algo 8186 Horn Speaker, Algo 8188, Algo 8189 Ceiling Speaker, and Algo 8301 Paging Adapter.

Important Note: The Algo 8180 Audio Alerter (G2) operates on a new hardware platform, and its firmware files differ from those of the original Algo 8180. Consequently, the original model cannot use the G2 firmware.

The 8180 SIP Audio Alerter is a SIP-compliant PoE network audio device suitable for loud ringing and voice paging applications using dual endpoints. When registered with a SIP server, one endpoint plays an audio file from internal memory upon ring detection, while the second endpoint auto-answers for voice paging, featuring two-way talkback. Advanced capabilities include SoundSure technology, which automatically adjusts the loudness of ringing and paging to account for background noise, ensuring you can hear alerts without excessive volume.

Additionally, outputs for external speakers, slave amplifiers, or visual alert systems, along with multicasting capabilities, provide numerous options to enhance notification and alert functions. Configuration can be done through feature buttons or a web interface.
