The Adtran NetVanta 3148 is a high-performance fixed-port Ethernet router that supports convergent access and high-quality voice services. It supplies four routed, autosensing Gigabit interfaces, two of which may be fed by fiber, as well as an 8-port PoE Ethernet switch. This device is perfect for carrier-bundled service options with speeds up to 500Mbps, as well as enterprise-class Internet access for secure, high-speed business connectivity. The NetVanta 3148 is offered as a rack-mountable platform 1U height. The Adtran NetVanta 3148 is perfect for a variety of applications that require Ethernet redundancy, thanks to its four Gigabit ports that may be configured to be LAN or WAN facing. Adtran's Operating System (AOS) has a high-performance, strong stateful inspection firewall. TCP syn flooding, IP spoofing, ICMP redirect, ping-of-death, and IP reassembly are all examples of typical Denial of Service (DoS) assaults that the firewall can detect and protect against. The Adtran NetVanta 3148 is controlled and managed through AdtranS's n-Command MSP platform. This platform offers the ability to locate devices, import mass configuration changes or firmware upgrades, backup/restore configuration, and make inventory reports for asset management.
